It looks like trolls are really keen for there to be beef between Kim Kardashian and Chloë Sevigny this June. The two were paired together for Variety’s Actors on Actors. And, despite there being no reason to believe there’s any bad blood between them, fans aren’t happy Chloë has been partnered with Kim for the event.
Variety’s Actors on Actors features some of the world’s biggest stars in its series each year. It’s been running for a decade. And, this year the likes of Jennifer Aniston, Robert Downey Jr, and Kristen Wiig were included in the line-up. American Horror Story actress Kim Kardashian was also involved, but many aren’t convinced she’s classed as a “real actor.”
SKIMS founder now dabbles in TV work
Reality TV star Kim is famed for her appearances on shows including Keeping Up With the Kardashians and The Kardashians.
She and her family members, including momager Kris Jenner, and makeup mogul sister Kylie Jenner have spent years in front of the camera.
Switching up her career in her forties, Kim is now dabbling in acting thanks to AHS producer Ryan Murphy.
After landing the role of Siobhan Corbyn in American Horror Story: Delicate, which came out last year, Kim has been included in Actors on Actors.
Starring opposite one another, Kim and Chloë talk all things acting.
‘Kim Kardshian did Chloë Sevigny dirty’
As both Kim and Chloë share promo for Actors on Actors, many people are criticizing the mom-of-four for “doing Chloë dirty” in the photos.
Kim writes in her caption how she’s “honored and grateful” to be involved in Variety’s annual event.
Se also thanks Ryan Murphy “…for the incredible opportunity and the entire cast and crew of American Horror Story for inspiring me and supporting me throughout the season.”
Kim also adds a personal note to Chloë, writing how “…it was lovely sitting down with such an incredibly real, gracious — and one of the most brilliant artists of our generation.”
However, fans were less than impressed by Kim’s choice of photo as she shared “…the worst pic of Chloe out of the batch,” according to them.
Some jumped to Kim’s defense, commenting: “Ok all the people hating on her acting need to sit down! She is slaying!!!! Like actor PERIOD.”
But, even more people took to Chloë’s Instagram post of the same promo to say: “Blink twice if your publicists made you write this caption.”
Another commented: “What a graceful way to promote this… but, we all still feel like she was an odd and disrespectful match for you.”
Her caption reads: “Our chosen career of actor has many forms. Some are rewarded early. Some of us are the journeymen, some have a quieter route, and some a much louder one. And I am always excited to celebrate every kind of actor.”
