Aaron Ramsdale includes Liverpool star in his dream five-a-side team alongside Jude Bellingham

Liverpool endured a tricky end to the Premier League season, with the Reds allowing Manchester City to surge ahead of them to the title.

Arsenal suffered the same fate, with Mikel Arteta’s outfit having to settle for second place in the end, just two points behind the champions.

Pep Guardiola’s side showed their full strength in the latter stages of the campaign, with yet another league title going their way.

The trio could be in for another exciting battle next season, but for now much of the focus is on international football.

Euro 2024 is just around the corner, with many Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City men looking to taste success together with England.

When tasked with picking his ultimate Adidas F50 five-a-side team that he’d love to play with, including past or present players, Ramsdale selected Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jude Bellingham.

“I’m going with a bit of the past, which is the two foreign lads, which are Zinedine Zidane and Kaka,” Ramsdale told That’s Football. “That’s Adidas heritage right there.

“And then I’ll keep it present with my two fellow Englishmen in Jude and Trent.

“Do I need a goalkeeper? Petr Cech was Adidas growing up… or Manuel Neuer. I’ll go with Neuer… the audacity he shows on the football pitch.”

Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold in nervous England wait

England manager Gareth Southgate recently confirmed his Three Lions squad for Euro 2024, with Ramsdale, Alexander-Arnold and Bellingham all making the cut.

The three could, however, have very different tournaments in Germany, with the Real Madrid ace the only one who is very likely to feature heavily.

Ramsdale has largely played second fiddle to Jordan Pickford over the years, with that situation likely to continue this summer, particularly now that he is also number two at Arsenal.

Alexander-Arnold meanwhile continues to divide opinion, with Manchester United legend Roy Keane claiming that England simply cannot play the Liverpool man in midfield in the big games.

A right-back position meanwhile is not certain given the presence of the likes of Kyle Walker and Kieran Trippier in the squad.

The Anfield ace now faces an anxious wait over his standing in the starting XI, although England fans are convinced that he should be handed a midfield role after his display in the recent friendly against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
