Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers shot down Russian Su-25 in Pokrovsk direction

Ukrainian defenders have shot down a Russian Su-25 military aircraft in the Pokrovsk direction, which remains the hottest on the front line. Additionally, nearly two hundred Russian soldiers were killed and wounded in this area within the past day, according to the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Russian shelling

Within the past day, Russian forces launched two missile strikes using five rockets and 45 air strikes employing 64 guided bombs (KABs). Additionally, they deployed 486 kamikaze drones.

Furthermore, the enemy carried out over 2,900 attacks on the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces and populated areas using artillery, mortars, small arms, and weaponry from combat vehicles.

Frontline situation

In the Ground Forces, it was noted that the Ukrainian soldiers continue to decisively repel attempts by the enemy to advance into the depths of our territory, inflicting effective fire damage and exhausting them along the entire front line.

From the beginning of June 10 until 22:00, there have been 81 combat clashes on the front line.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine state that the situation remains tense but controlled.

In the Kharkiv direction, there were four unsuccessful enemy attacks in the areas of Vovchansk and Hlyboke. Ukrainian troops continue to take measures to strengthen defensive positions and lines.

"Previous losses of the Russian army in this direction amounted to 64 soldiers killed and wounded. One tank, seven vehicles, and five pieces of special equipment were destroyed," the Ground Forces reported.

Additionally, in this direction, two enemy tanks, one combat armored vehicle, three artillery systems, and four vehicles were damaged. Fifteen enemy bunkers and an ammunition depot were also hit.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attempted to push back the Ukrainian units from their positions in the areas of Synkivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Pishchane, and Berestove. The enemy did not succeed, and no loss of positions or territory was allowed.

In the Lyman direction, the number of clashes has increased to 12. Russian soldiers attempted to advance in the areas of Druzhelubivka, Nevske, Terni, Torske, Hryhorivka, and Serebrianske Forestry. All attacks were successfully repelled by Ukrainian defenders.

The situation in the Siversk direction has not undergone significant changes. Four assault actions in the areas of Spirne, Ivano-Dariivka, and Verkhniokamianske ended in failure for the enemy.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy attempted to attack Ukrainian Defense Forces units seven times in the areas of Novyi, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, and Andriivka. Six of the Russian attempts to breach the Ukrainian defense lines were unsuccessful.

"The situation is tense. The battle near Novyi is ongoing," reported the Ground Forces.

The most intense situation remains in the Pokrovsk direction. The enemy attempted to infiltrate the Ukrainian Armed Forces' positions 21 times near Yevhenivka, Novooleksandrivka, Novopokrovske, Yasnobrodivka, Umanske, and Karlivka.

Nineteen enemy attacks were repelled. Two more clashes are ongoing near Novooleksandrivka and Novopokrovske.

"The defense forces are exerting maximum efforts to exhaust and restrain the Russian army. Previous losses of the Russian forces in this direction amounted to 198 soldiers killed and wounded. One Su-25 aircraft, one tank, one combat armored vehicle, one gun, and four vehicles were destroyed," reported the Ground Forces.

The situation remains tense in the Kurakhove direction. Since the beginning of the day, the number of clashes has increased to 17.

"The Russian army is attempting to advance near the populated areas of Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Kostiantynivka, and Paraskevivka," the Armed Forces said.

The Defense Forces successfully repelled fourteen enemy attacks. Fighting continues in the area of Krasnohorivka. Measures are being taken to prevent the advancement of Russian forces into the depths of our territory.

In the Vremivka direction, the Russian army attempted to advance near Vodiane and Staromaiorske. The assault actions of the Russian forces failed. The defense forces are in control of the situation.

In the Orikhiv direction, the Russian forces carried out one unsuccessful assault near the village of Kopani.

In the Prydniprovsk direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled two enemy attacks north of Krynky. There were no losses of positions.

There have been no significant changes on other fronts.

Strikes against enemy forces

During the day on June 10, the Defense Forces struck:

  • 13 enemy personnel concentration areas,
  • 7 anti-aircraft missile systems,
  • 1 artillery unit,
  • 1 radar station.

It should be noted that earlier on the evening of June 10, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that Russian forces were seeking ways to infiltrate the defenses of the Ukrainian army and try to push back the Defense Forces units from their positions.
