New Road’s Co-op in Tadley opens on June 6

A brand new convenience store has opened in Tadley.

The new Co-op store opened on Thursday, June 6 at 42-46 New Road.

The 2,600 sq ft shop contains a Costa Coffee Express, an in-store bakery and a soft plastic recycling unit

It also stocks everyday essentials such as fresh produce, ready meals, alcohol and free-from, vegan and plant-based products.

Store manager Lewis Hooper said: “We have had a great response.

“The whole team is delighted to have launched Co-op’s newest store, and we are enjoying welcoming the community into their new Co-op.

“Our aim is to operate at the heart of local life and we have worked to develop the range, choice and added services to create a compelling offer to serve our community, conveniently.

“The store also has a focus on delivering added value, with member price savings across a wide range of everyday essential groceries so that the people who own our business, our member-owners, benefit every time they shop.”

The opening of the new Co-op has also created a dozen jobs for people in the area, and there are still a small number of vacancies still available.

New Road’s Co-op in Tadley opens between 7am-10pm daily.
