'I see what he does': Ben White says playing with one Arsenal teammate is a joy; he's so easy to work with

Ben White has named the Arsenal teammate it is a joy to play alongside, insisting that he makes the full-back’s life so much easier.

This Arsenal side appears to have so many crucial components which have played their part in taking Mikel Arteta’s men back into the title conversation in the Premier League.

William Saliba is arguably the best defender in the division right now, while Declan Rice has proved to be an inspired signing in the middle of the park. And Martin Odegaard is realising the potential which persuaded Real Madrid to sign him as a teenager.

But of course, for many, the jewel in the crown is Bukayo Saka, with the academy graduate proving to be such a consistent performer within the side. The winger scored 16 goals and contributed nine assists in the Premier League this past season.

Ben White has played down the same flank as Saka for a lot of the last two years, and he told the Premier League’s YouTube channel that he loves working so closely with the England international.

“Playing with him’s a joy, and him being in front of me, I see what he does to the teams we’re playing against, and with a player like that, you have to give him the ball, which makes my job so much easier,” he said.

What Arsenal star is now actually worth

What is remarkable about Saka is the fact that he is still only 22 years of age, as it feels as though he has been a key part of the Arsenal side for such a long time now.

He has already made well over 200 appearances for the club in all competitions, and he has been directly involved in well over 100 goals.

There is an argument that Arteta needs to take some pressure off of Saka, as he has rarely had an opportunity to rest over the last couple of years, but clearly, there is time for the youngster to improve further.

Saka is apparently now valued at £123 million, making him one of the most valuable players in the world at the moment.

And you would not be surprised if a joy was how many more Arsenal players described playing alongside Saka, after White’s praise.
