Report: Liverpool have now decided they want £25m to sell player Jurgen Klopp called 'outstanding'

Liverpool have decided they want £25m to sell a player Jurgen Klopp called ‘outstanding’, according to a recent report.

The Reds are beginning a new era under Arne Slot’s stewardship and the Dutchman could be busy in the window as he reshapes the squad to align with his philosophy.

Liverpool, as they always have done, will need to trade in the window and there could be some big departures.

They’ve just set a price tag on one player.

Liverpool want in excess of £25m for Caoimhin Kelleher

According to The Atheltic, Liverpool are not actively looking to sell goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher but they would consider moving him on if they were to receive offers in excess of £25m.

The 25-year-old is the number two behind Alisson, who will be away with Brazil this summer at the Copa America.

As such, he could play a crucial role in the early stages of the season, so only sizable bids would tempt Liverpool chiefs.

Though, they do also recognise that he has a desire to be the number one and whilst Alisson remains at Anfield, that’s unlikely to happen.

Caoimhin Kelleher interest

The Republic of Ireland international has been linked with a move to Celtic, though, they would likely need to outlay a club record fee to sign him.

It’s thought that Kelleher, who Klopp once called ‘outstanding’, would be keen on a move to the Scottish champions, who are currently in the market for a Joe Hart replacement after he retired.

Nottingham Forest and Wolves have been mooted as potential suitors over the last 12 months or so, too.

Perhaps they could launch a proposal this summer.
