What the Celtic fans are saying about Kieran Tierney after Arsenal’s £10m price tag was revealed

The Kieran Tierney to Celtic rumour doesn’t look like it’s going to go away anytime soon now.

The Arsenal fullback has struggled to claim a first-team spot at the North London club and has had various injury issues to overcome since his 2019 move.

Tierney spent last season on loan at Real Sociedad and injury once again haunted his time at the La Liga club.

However, despite making just 26 appearances for Sociedad, Tierney still faced the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Athletico Madrid before returning to The Gunners this summer.

But as we discussed over the weekend, it seems that Tierney’s time at Arsenal could be over after reports indicated that the Premier League club could accept £10m from potential suitors this summer.

And that has caused much debate amongst the Celtic fans over whether or not Brendan Rodgers should make a move to bring the Scotland defender back to the club.

Kieran Tierney’s mixed Celtic fan response

There is no doubt that Tierney is a quality player. The Celtic fans saw that first-hand when he first broke into the side under Ronny Deila.

However, it was under Brendan Rodgers that he really flourished and before he left for Arsenal, Tierney became an Invincible Treble champion after picking up five league titles, three Scottish Cups and three League Cups.

So bringing him back to Celtic would be a popular move at just £10m, right? Well, the response has been mixed as the Hoops fans debate the merits of spending such a large sum of money on one player who has had obvious injury problems.

One Celtic fan believes the salary Tierney can demand will be an issue:

Another Celtic fan has concerns over Tierney’s injury problems:

Tierney doesn’t have to play every game according to this Celtic supporter:

Whilst another believes the deal could prove too rich for Celtic:

Another Celtic fan believes a Tierney return is a ‘no brainer’:

We will have to sit and wait to see how the club want to proceed as there is no doubt that Tierney would add that much-needed quality Brendan Rodgers has been crying out for.
