'Really solid': £20m Arsenal player who Mikel Arteta could sell this summer dazzles for his country last night

One Arsenal player put in a brilliant performance for his country last night, after claims he could be heading out the door this summer.

Arsenal are gearing up for yet another busy summer transfer window as they bid to close the gap on Manchester City.

Having missed out on the Premier League title by just two points last season, Mikel Arteta will be keen to fine-tune his squad.

That will also likely lead to plenty of departures this summer, with a few players linked with summer exits after struggling for minutes last season.

One player who racked up plenty of minutes in a slightly different role was Jakub Kiwior, with the centre-back filling in at left-back.

Despite some excellent performances in Oleksandr Zinchenko’s absence, Kiwior could head out the door this summer.

AC Milan are considering a swoop for Kiwior as Arsenal eye a new signing at left-back. While doubt surrounds his future at the Emirates, Kiwior is preparing for Euro 2024 with Poland and put in a brilliant display in their final warm-up game last night.

Jakub Kiwior dazzles for Poland after claims Arsenal could sell him

Kiwior got 90 minutes under his belt as Poland picked up a 2-1 win over Turkey on Monday evening.

The 24-year-old played on the left-hand side of a back three and earned a four out of six rating from Polish outlet Sport.

They wrote: “Concentrated, he took Kahveci’s dangerous shot to his body. In the second half, equally sacrificingly, he stopped his opponents twice while already ‘in the tackle’.

“We mark him as a [four] minus for an irresponsible play across the field, which almost resulted in a counterattack by the opponents. He must avoid such mistakes. Apart from that, it looked really solid.”

Meczyki claimed that Kiwior dealt with everything that came his way ‘flawlessly’ and put in a solid shift at centre-back.

“A solid performance by Kiwior,” the outlet wrote. “Actually, our entire defence looked really good today, and Arsenal’s defence made a big contribution to that. When he had to intervene, he usually did so flawlessly.”
