English club are ready to listen to offers for Euros striker Celtic have interest in

Celtic are reportedly in the mix for a new striking target who will now be familiar to many in Scottish football circles.

Kyogo Furuhashi and Hyeongyu Oh remain on the books at Parkhead; meanwhile, Adam Idah has returned to Norwich City amid Brendan Rodgers’ desire to bring him back after his stunning loan spell.

The Republic of Ireland international registered nine goals in 19 outings for Celtic, including his memorable Scottish Cup final winner against Rangers last month.

Nevertheless, his parent club have him under contract until 2027, and their new manager, Johannes Hoff Thorup, is keen to assess Idah in pre-season.

With a slot potentially vacant among the Celtic strikeforce, a fresh report has indicated there is a forward the Scottish Premiership champions are now keen on.

Bristol City set to listen to offers for Celtic target Tommy Conway

According to Bristol Post, Bristol City striker Tommy Conway is of interest to Celtic this summer and there is an ‘expectation’ that he will leave Ashton Gate after refusing to sign a contract extension at the club.

The outlet claim the Robins are ready to listen to offers for the forward, who recently won his first Scotland cap against Finland and is included in the Tartan Army’s squad for EURO 2024.

Although not on the transfer list, Bristol City recognise the need to recoup a fee for his services to stop a scenario where he could run his deal down and leave on a free transfer come 2025, with a paltry £300,000 development fee included if he were to head cross-border.

Should he leave over the coming months, depending on the number of suitors, they could receive a sum between £5-8 million to reinvest in an alternative number nine.

Per Transfermarkt, Conway registered 12 goals and one assist across 43 matches, encompassing all competitions.

Wolverhampton Wanderers and Leicester City have run checks on his progress, and Rangers are also mentioned as admirers of the 21-year-old coupled with several play-off chasing English second-tier clubs.

Known for his poacher’s instinct and pace in behind, the Taunton-born attacker would offer real firepower to Celtic under Rodgers; regardless, it remains to be seen if any deal could come to fruition.
