Many Bayern Munich fans are saying the same thing as they’re linked with Chelsea star Levi Colwill

Bayern Munich fans are all reacting in the same way after they were linked with a potential move for Chelsea defender Levi Colwill.

Blues centre-back Levi Colwill, 21, is reportedly on the transfer radar of German heavyweights Bayern Munich.

Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg reported via X that Bayern is “seriously considering” Chelsea’s Colwill as a summer target. Apparently, the Bundesliga giants are trying to sign Bayer Leverkusen central defender Jonathan Tah, but they still like Chelsea’s young talent as well.

However, journalist Fabrizio Romano shared via X that Chelsea have no plans to sell Colwill despite interest from several top teams.

Colwill is a superb left-footed centre-half developed in the club’s academy at Cobham. He impressed last season with 32 appearances during his first year as part of the senior squad.

Bayern Munich fans react to Levi Colwill links

A selection of Bayern supporters on social media have reacted extremely positively to the transfer rumours suggesting Chelsea’s Colwill is in their sights.

Many fans on X believe that the 21-year-old Englishman would be a superb addition at the Allianz Arena.

One fan said: “I speak for everyone when I say we want Colwill.”

Another wrote: “Bring Colwill instead of Tah.”

One fan commented: “We should bring Colwill and not Tah.”

Another shared: “I prefer Colwill. We’ve not had a traditional left-footed centre-back since [David] Alaba which was the last time we won the Champions League. And before that Dante in 2013. The importance of a left-footed centre-back can’t be overstated.”

One supporter posted: “Colwill could be so good.”

Another wrote: “No Tah, just bring Colwill.”

Enzo Maresca should take note

Chelsea’s new head coach Enzo Maresca should be intrigued to hear Bayern Munich, along with their supporters, do admire Colwill.

It remains to be seen how Maresca will line up his defence next season, but The Chelsea Chronicle’s advice to him is to make Colwill an integral part of his plans.

The young centre-half is perfect for teams looking to play out from the back, particularly because of his long-range and accurate passing.

It’s exciting to think how he will develop in the next few years. Hopefully, it’ll be in Chelsea colours.
