Sheffield Wednesday fans all send one clear message to Danny Rohl over Bailey Cadamarteri

Sheffield Wednesday fans have been debating over Bailey Cadamarteri’s future at the club.

Bailey Cadamarteri joined Sheffield Wednesday‘s academy in 2014, before bursting onto the scene last season.

The striker was brought into the first team shortly after Danny Rohl‘s arrival, before making his Championship debut in November.

Cadamarteri went onto score his first professional goal in his second start for the club, becoming a regular in the starting line-up until Ike Ugbo joined on loan.

The Canadian’s arrival forced the 19-year-old to settle for a place on the bench in the second half of the campaign, and eventually ended the season with five goals in 25 matches.

While Cadamarteri is clearly highly-rated at Hillsborough, it remains to be seen as to what role he will play going into Rohl’s first full campaign in charge.

The Owls are working hard to bring Ugbo back to the club, while they are also interested in signing Arsenal striker Mika Biereth.

With an experienced striker likely to come in this summer, Cadamarteri will have a big challenge on his hands to force his way back into the line-up.

Wednesday fans have now been split over whether the teenager should be given a chance in the squad next term, or if he should be allowed to leave on loan. Though one thing they do all agree on is that he is a very promising player for Wednesday’s future.

Here is how supporters reacted when asked by The Wednesday ‘Til I Die Podcast what should happen to him next season.

Sheffield Wednesday fans have their say on Bailey Cadamarteri

Bailey Cadamarteri conclusion

It seems fair to say that most Sheffield Wednesday fans would like to see Bailey Cadamarteri sent out on loan.

The striker impressed in his spell in the starting line-up, but he was never ready to consistently lead the line and was only really brought in due to their lack of options.

If the Owls can now add to their attack and not have to rely on Cadamarteri, then they can instead send him out on loan to a League One club.

There is no doubt that he will light up the third tier, while he will be guaranteed the minutes he deserves to help him grow as a player.

If the youngster can reach double figures in the League One, then fans may get very excited about the player that would return in a year’s time.
