Big West Ham news as Dharmesh Sheth claims winger is now on the verge of joining the Hammers

West Ham United are edging ever closer to signing one of Julen Lopetegui’s key transfer targets, with a medical currently taking place.

Julen Lopetegui and Tim Steidten finally appear to be on the cusp of making the first West Ham signing of the summer.

One of the Hammers main transfer targets is said to be currently undergoing his medical ahead of a switch to the London Stadium.

Lopetegui wants to wrap up the majority of his transfer business before West Ham’s pre-season campaign begins on July 20th.

Whilst we’ve missed out on a couple of potential new arrivals already, there is one deal that seems to be very close indeed to completion.

And Dharmesh Sheth has just claimed that an attacker is completing the final stages of his move to the London Stadium right now.

Player undergoing West Ham medical

The Hammers have been chasing players left right and centre this summer so far.

Lopetegui and Steidten are scouring the globe, notably South America, for the most talented young players in world football.

And one of them now appears to be on the verge of officially joining West Ham.

According to Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Sheth, Brazilian winger Luis Guilherme is undertaking his West Ham medical right at this very moment:

This one seems like it will be done and dusted very soon indeed.

Nobody really knows whether Guilherme will be a big hit at West Ham yet, given the fact that he’s totally unproven in the Premier League.

However, he does have huge potential, and the Brazilian youngster has all the makings of a superstar of the future.

With Guilherme currently undergoing his West Ham medical, the signing should be made official within the next 24-48 hours.
