Republicans began their first meeting with former President Donald Trump since he ordered Capitol rioters to “fight like hell” on Jan. 6, 2021, by serenading him in celebration of his birthday, according to multiple reports.

The House and Senate Republicans who gathered for a policy meeting with Trump, the presumptive presidential nominee convicted of felony crimes, sang "Happy Birthday" and gave him a baseball bat and ball as a present, according to Punchbowl News' Jake Sherman and CNN's Manu Raju.

"Heil birthday indeed," quipped one X user in response.

NBC News described Trump's greeting from Republicans as a "hero's welcome" even as protesters outside held signs that read "Failed Coup" and shouted "Have you no dignity?” as they passed.

Frustration only mounted as news spread that Trump's triumphant return — three years after the day special counsel Jack Smith contends he illegally tried to disrupt the peaceful transfer of power — was met with Republicans who sang.

"How pathetic," replied Wyatt Buckingham.

"Unbelievable," added Suzanne Lamminen. "We are lost as a nation."

Another X user mockingly compared Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) to the Hollywood star who famously donned a sparkling dress and sang a sultry rendition of the birthday song to former President John F. Kennedy.

"Marge Greene doing her best Marilyn Monroe impression," quipped @CiancioloAndrew.

Trump's birthday is on Friday. Criminal court records from New York City — where he was convicted of falsifying business records to conceal hush money paid ahead of the 2016 presidential election — show he was born in 1946.
