A tragic incident occurred late Thursday evening in the Harwan area of Srinagar, where a teenage girl was found dead in her home, having hanged herself, according to officials.
The 18-year-old girl, whose name has been withheld, was discovered hanging from the ceiling. Her family immediately rushed her to the nearest hospital, but doctors pronounced her dead on arrival, the officials reported.
The police have acknowledged the incident and have begun an investigation to determine the circumstances that led to this tragic event.
