3 dead, several injured in bus accident at Dangiwacha

Srinagar:

A bus traveling from Hamam Mundaji to Sopore in Pazwalpora Dangiwach met with an accident today. Initial reports indicate three people were killed and several others injured.

The bus, driven by Mohammad Saleem Malla (Pakhwara Dangiwacha) and carrying 20 passengers, reportedly suffered a brake failure, causing a loss of control and the crash.

Media reports have identified Bashir Ahmad Seer Gojar (30, Doniwari Dangiwacha), Abdul Rashid Khan (son of Mohammad Yousuf Khan, Markoot), and Noor Mohammad Khan (son of Alim Din Khan, Hamam) among the deceased. While police investigate, they haven’t confirmed the fatalities officially.

Two passengers sustained critical injuries and were rushed to the nearest hospital.

The narrow road at the crash site is suspected to have played a role, according to locals. Thankfully, emergency services arrived swiftly. Residents initiated passenger rescue efforts, followed by police assistance.

Authorities are supporting the victims’ families and ensuring proper medical care for the injured. Investigations are ongoing to determine all contributing factors.
