Tampa Bay Area To See Scattered Thunderstorms This Weekend

TAMPA, Fla. - Residents and visitors of the Tampa Bay area should prepare for a wet and wild weekend as scattered thunderstorms are expected to roll through the region.

According to the National Weather Service, there is a high chance of scattered thunderstorms throughout the weekend, with temperatures reaching the low 90s and humidity levels remaining high.

Residents are advised to stay indoors during the storms and avoid driving through flooded areas.

Boaters should also be cautious as lightning can strike from a distance, and strong winds can create hazardous conditions on the water.

The scattered thunderstorms are expected to continue through Sunday, with a slight chance of showers lingering into Monday.

However, the forecast for next week looks much drier and sunnier.
