Jose Mourinho is back in management and he’s actually eyeing up one Manchester United player who he knows well, according to reports.
This summer is a big one for Manchester United and will likely see a lot of sales transpire in order to fund the big-money targets Ineos have.
Already it appears Mason Greenwood will be bringing in a healthy fee as Juventus look likely to sign him, while a massive amount has already been saved on the wage bill with Anthony Martial and Raphael Varane released.
One position this will be funding is centre-half, with potentially two arrivals being discussed to overhaul the position. This could leave no room for Victor Lindelof, but now reports suggest he’ll be sought after.

This summer seems like a turning point for United and therefore quite a a few long-term servants of the club are expected to depart, one of which could be Lindelof who has dropped down the pecking order.
But for Lindelof, a departure could see him reunite with Jose Mourinho, a manager he’s previously admitted that he misses.
This story comes from Turkey and outlet Foto Mac which explains that Fenerbahce want a defender, with the first name Mourinho asked for being Lindelof who he signed for £31m in 2017 while manager of United.
It continues that the plans are already being worked on, with the 29-year-old Swede said to be tired of being a bit-part player under Erik ten Hag.
However, the report then concludes by claiming United will be offered a fee of €8 million or £6.7m for Lindelof, a fee that is unlikely to please Ineos.
This likely means the two clubs have a bit of negotiating to do, with Lindelof’s market value of £12.6m according to CIES.
Will Manchester United sell Lindelof this summer
This summer, it appears that aside from a select few, most of the squad is for sale and therefore yes the club would likely sell Lindelof if their valuation was reached.
Selling is also the correct call, with centre-half options likely to be Lisandro Martinez, two new arrivals, Harry Maguire and Willy Kambwala, which leaves zero room for Lindelof on his costly £120k-a-week contract.
It’d be arguable that if he stays, Lindelof will be the seventh choice at centre-half, which emphasises why he needs to make a move for his own good.
So with all this taken into consideration, it seems fairly likely that United will be selling Lindelof this summer should the opportunity arrive.
