West Berkshire Crematorium’s new manager says she is passionate about providing exceptional care and support to grieving families, writes Grace Clift.
Loraine Beckinsale brings a wealth of funeral sector experience to her new role.
“Without doubt, West Berkshire Crematorium is not only beautiful, but provides an oasis of calm the moment you come through the gates,” she said.
“It still surprises me there are so many myths concerning what happens behind the scenes at a crematorium.
“I would like to make days available to welcome visitors for a tour of our crematorium, including the grounds, the chapel and the crematory, to explain what we do and how we look after loved ones with exceptional care.”
Mrs Beckinsale, who has previously worked with Obitus – which provides media services to West Berkshire Crematorium – and Co-op Funeral Care, plans to host a number of open days for the local community throughout the year.
She added: “If you’ve never visited a crematorium or not been to West Berkshire, do pop in and say hello.
“We would love to meet you and show you what we do.”
