Report: Fulham now want to sign 'outstanding' £15m Tottenham player; he played 39 times last season

Tottenham have a number of players who can leave this summer and now Fulham could make a move for one of their midfielders.

Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou is prepared to be ruthless over the summer as he looks to revamp a squad that struggled towards the back end of last term.

A number of players are on the chopping block as well as Ange prepares his moves.

The likes of Giovani Lo Celso, Oliver Skipp and even striker Richarlison are among those being linked with a potential move away from north London.

And according to reports, another Tottenham midfielder is now wanted by Fulham.

Fulham keen on signing Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg as well as Kalvin Phillips

According to a report from GiveMeSport, Fulham are in the market for a new midfielder as they sweat over the future of Joao Palhinha.

And it’s claimed that Tottenham midfielder Hojbjerg is one of the players the Cottagers could make a move for to replace the Portuguese star.

Along with Hojbjerg, Kalvin Phillips has also been watched by Fulham as they prepare for Palhinha to make a move to Bayern Munich.

The report from GMS claims that Tottenham star Hojbjerg is being looked at, albeit a deal for the Dane seems less likely than Phillips right now.

Hojbjerg has been a key player for Spurs since signing for around £15m back 2020. He played 39 times last season for Ange Postecoglou but is among the players who’ll be allowed to move on.

Hojbjerg deserves a good move

While Tottenham might want to move on from Hojbjerg and replace him, few can question his professionalism and attitude.

He has been a constant in the squad and has always come in and done the job required of him when called upon.

Right now, Tottenham are looking to go in another direction and that’s fine.

But the ‘outstanding‘ Hojbjerg deserves a good move and in fairness, a switch to Fulham to work under Marco Silva is not the worst thing that he could do.
