‘We want to leave’: £100m attacker’s agent says he wants to move after links with Arsenal

Arsenal are gearing up for another decisive summer transfer window under Mikel Arteta.

The Gunners boss certainly hasn’t been short of backing during his time at the Emirates Stadium and looks set to spend big once again this summer.

Declan Rice was brought in for a club-record fee worth £105 million last year while Kai Havertz also arrived for £65 million in the same window.

Yet, there is still work to be done for Arsenal after missing out on the Premier League title by just two points last season.

To dethrone Manchester City, Arteta will undoubtedly need added quality in key areas and Arsenal are looking to bolster his options across the frontline.

Now, a winger who has long been on Arsenal’s radar could be subject to plenty of interest after his agent’s latest comments on his future.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s agent on his future

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is a player who’s attracted plenty of interest from Arsenal in previous transfer windows.

The Napoli star has been long linked with a move to the Premier League and despite the recent arrival of Antonio Conte, his agent is adamant he wants a move.

“I don’t want people to think that Kvara wants to stay at Napoli,” Mamuka Jugeli said, as quoted by La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“We want to leave, but we are waiting for the end of the Euros so as not to disturb Khvicha. The priority is to join a team that plays in the Champions League.”

Kvaratskhelia move would be difficult for Arsenal

Despite his agent’s comments, securing a move for Kvaratskhelia would be a difficult task for Arsenal this summer.

The winger was previously valued at around £100 million by the Naples club and they have already hit back at Jugeli’s comments.

Nevertheless, Kvaratskhelia certainly won’t be short of potential suitors following his agent’s recent admission.

The Georgian winger has enjoyed two brilliant seasons in Serie A, racking up 51 goal involvements in 88 games for Napoli.

Arsenal are in need of extra options out wide but it remains unclear whether or not they will prioritise a move for a striker.
