Chelsea fans are all saying the same thing about Benjamin Sesko after watching him at Euro 2024

Unsurprisingly, Chelsea fans paid particular attention to Benjamin Sesko’s performance for Slovenia on Sunday.

Benjamin Sesko was reportedly a key transfer target for Chelsea before deciding to stay at RB Leipzig, hence the interest from Blues supporters.

He started for Slovenia in their game against Denmark and was not able to score, but his country were still able to get something from the match after drawing 1-1.

While Sesko is not coming to the Premier League this summer, he will get an opportunity to play against defenders from the division at the Euros.

Slovenia take on England in their final group stage game, giving Sesko the chance to go up against the likes of Manchester City’s John Stones and Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi.

What Chelsea fans were impressed with after watching Benjamin Sesko

Even though Sesko was not able to score against Denmark, Chelsea supporters were still impressed with the 21-year-old.

The way he struck the ball really caught their attention.

One Chelsea fan on X wrote: “Sesko can hit a ball, man.”

Another said: “Sesko striking ability is nuts.”

One user posted: “What a strike from Sesko.”

A couple of more supporters said: “When Sesko hits them, they stay hit.”

“Sesko’s shot power is insane.”

If Chelsea go on to sign Sesko next summer, it looks like he will be welcomed to Stamford Bridge.

Benjamin Sesko’s stats versus Denmark

According to WhoScored, Sesko only managed to record two shots against Denmark, though one of them hit the woodwork.

The Leipzig star had a pass success rate of 61% and only completed one out of the three dribbles he attempted.

Ultimately, it was not Sesko’s most productive outing, but the potential is obviously there with him.

Last season, the Slovenia international scored 14 goals in 31 Bundesliga appearances.

In his last seven games, he netted in all seven of them, showing signs of a real goalscorer.

It will now be interesting to see if Chelsea return for Sesko next year. A lot could depend on whether they sign a centre-forward this summer, with Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran seen as the alternative to the former Red Bull Salzburg man.
