Arsenal will now ‘make an attempt’ to sign striker who ‘dreams’ of playing in the Premier League

Arsenal will reportedly soon make their first move to sign a striker who has ‘dreams’ of playing in the Premier League.

The Gunners have made landing a centre-forward one of their main priorities this summer, with Arsenal already failing in one pursuit to sign RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko.

With Ukraine international Artem Dovbyk now linked with a move to Arsenal, it’s clear that the north London side are looking to secure the services of a new striker before the start of pre-season next month.

And the Gunners are now seemingly ready to pounce for one top striker.

Arsenal ready to move for Napoli superstar Victor Osimhen

According to Italian journalist Ciro Venerato, Arsenal are ready to ‘make an attempt’ to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, who ‘dreams’ of playing in the Premier League with an exit likely this summer.

With Arsenal unwilling to match Osimhen’s £110m release clause, though, the Gunners could find themselves in with a lengthy battle with Napoli to agree a transfer fee for Osimhen.

The Nigerian international was key to Napoli’s historic 2023 Serie A title win with the striker scoring 17 goals in all competitions this season for the Italian side.

And with Arsenal in need of a world-class striker, Osimhen could be a dream signing for the north London side, especially with the attacker seemingly keen on moving to the Premier League.

Arsenal have to do all they can to sign Osimhen this summer

Whilst Osimhen endured a difficult season with Napoli, 17 goals is still a good tally for a striker playing for a struggling side that lost their magic in a big way this term

And at Arsenal, Osimhen will rediscover his goalscoring touch, especially surrounded by world-class players like Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice.

As a result, the Gunners need to do all they can to sign Osimhen this summer, who even at over £100m could be worth the investment given how deadly the striker can be in-front of goal.
