Report: Leeds will only sell 'immense' Jesse Marsch signing if they receive £12.6m

Leeds United will only sell an ‘immense’ Jesse Marsch signing if they receive a bid worth £12.6m, according to a recent report.

The Whites are expected to be busy on the outgoings front this month as they look to raise funds before the end of the financial year.

As such, Daniel Farke’s side might not be able to spend a dime until July – when the books are reset – and with that said, it seems one player has been transfer listed.

Leeds United stand firm in £12.6m Max Wober pricetag

According to Bild, Leeds United are demanding £12.6m for the sale of Max Wober amid interest from Borussia Mönchengladbach.

The Bundesliga club had Wober on a loan deal last season and want to retain his services but Leeds are standing firm in their valuation.

That would suggest the Austria international is one of the players without a loan clause, so it seems the West Yorkshire club have some power at the negotiating table, unlike last summer with other deals.

Gladbach seem reluctant to meet Leeds’ price tag, so at this stage, the ‘immense’ Jesse Marsch signing remains a Whites player with every chance he could start the season in the Championship.

Leeds could be willing to lower asking price

If Gladbach were to indicate that they’re looking elsewhere, perhaps Leeds would lower their asking price due to finances.

It seems they’ll need to raise a substantial amount in player sales to avoid Profit and Sustainability charges, so they can’t really afford to play hardball.

A telling couple of weeks await.
