Tottenham told they will have to pay more than Bayern to sign winger likened to Leroy Sane - journalist

Tottenham Hotspur have now been told that they will have to pay more than Bayern Munich to sign one attacking target this month.

Ange Postecoglou is thought to be on the hunt for a new forward this summer, someone who can add goals and pace to his front line.

Timo Werner has already been signed for another year on loan, but it doesn’t seem as if additions will stop there.

Richarlison is still often linked with a Tottenham exit, even if he did enjoy a clear improvement in his first season under Postecoglou.

But despite his talent, many still feel that the Brazilian isn’t a typical Postecoglou player, with the manager likely to outlast him in north London.

But with Richarlison leaving or not, Spurs want to add a tactically flexible wide player, someone who can also play centrally when needed.

And with the club possessing considerable spending power this summer, Tottenham’s interest in Chris Fuhrich looks very well advised.

Following a remarkable season for Stuttgart, Fuhrich has been linked to Leroy Sane, and has reportedly caught Tottenham’s attention in the process.

Fuhrich scored nine goals and provided seven assists across all competitions for his club last season, earning a spot in Germany’s Euro 2024 squad.

And following interest both domestically and abroad, journalist Florian Plettenberg has now provided an update on his future and availability.

Sharing his update on X, Plettenberg explained that although Fuhrich’s release clause is fairly reasonable for Premier League clubs, it’s even more modest for those in the Bundesliga.

He wrote: “Until the end of June, the release clause for Chris Fuhrich can be triggered!

“The 26-year-old winger from Stuttgart is in the final Euro squad of Germany. Now there are many incorrect figures circulating.

“Been told: Due to his participation in the Euros, he now costs €20m for Bayern, Dortmund, and all other German clubs.

“A move to the Premier League would cost €23-25m!”

Tottenham will hope to repeat Radu Dragusin trick

Of course, should Tottenham be seriously interested in Fuhrich as reports have suggested, they could now be locked into another transfer tussle with Bayern.

The two clubs became very familiar during the Harry Kane saga last summer, and then were reacquainted during their competition for Radu Dragusin in January.

Fortunately for Postecoglou, Dragusin chose Tottenham because of the chance to play more minutes, a chance to showcase his rich talent.

And judging by Dragusin’s performance for Romania at Euro 2024 on Monday, he certainly deserves more chances in north London next season.
