Report: West Ham pull out of race to sign 'devastating' 20-goal striker Tottenham Hotspur want to sign

West Ham United have pulled out of the race to sign a ‘devastating’ 20-goal striker who Tottenham Hotspur want to sign, according to a recent report.

Julen Lopetegui has replaced David Moyes in the dugout and appears eager to reshape the squad to fit his style of play.

The Hammers have been linked with a number of different profiles so far this summer and have already added Luis Guilherme to their ranks.

Though, it seems they’ve just pulled out of the race to sign a ‘devastating’ striker.

West Ham United pull out of Youssef En-Nesyri race

West Ham United have been heavily linked to Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri in recent weeks but now it seems they’ve walked away from the deal.

According to Spanish outlet Mucho Deporte, The Hammers don’t view En-Nesyri as a priority signing and in fact, they’re looking at a different profile of striker altogether.

The report further indicates that the Morocco international is a last resort if they fail to sign the profile Lopetegui is after.

En-Nesyri could still be on the move this summer, though, as Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United are named as potential destinations.

What type of profile suits West Ham United

En-Nesyri worked under Lopetegui during their time together at Sevilla, so it seemed like a relatively straightforward deal to do.

However, evidently, Lopetegui wants to sign a more nimble forward with an emphasis on linking the play perhaps a big factor.

West Ham should seriously consider a move for Dominic Solanke, who has been of interest to the club in windows gone by.

Though, that deal wouldn’t come cheap.
