Report: ‘Superb’ player is now extremely close to leaving West Ham, negotiations are nearly complete

A West Ham United player is reportedly close to securing an exit as negotiations near completion.

Julen Lopetegui is expected to re-shape his West Ham squad this summer after taking over from David Moyes.

The Scotsman has left behind a very talented team, with the likes of Jarrod Bowen, Mohammed Kudus and Lucas Paqueta likely to play key roles under Lopetegui.

But Lopetegui will be aiming to offload a few players as he bids to bring in fresh additions. Danny Ings, Maxwel Cornet and Kurt Zouma are one of many facing uncertain futures at the London Stadium.

And it would appear that West Ham are close to securing their first exit of the summer as one of their players is close to sealing a switch to FC Copenhagen.

Nathan Trott ‘extremely close’ to West Ham exit

Nathan Trott spent the last campaign on loan at Danish outfit Vejle BK and has seemingly caught the eye.

According to Tipsbladet, the goalkeeper is now ‘extremely close’ to signing for FC Copenhagen, who are lining up Trott as a replacement for Kamil Grabara.

It’s claimed that negotiations between West Ham and the Lions are ‘nearing completion’ for a fee worth around £1.1 million.

Trott set for big move

Copenhagen performed well in the Champions League last season before being knocked out by Manchester City in the round of 16.

Unfortunately for Trott, he won’t be mixing it with Europe’s elite next term as Copenhagen have dropped down to the Europa Conference League.

But the ‘superb’ goalkeeper looks to have earned himself a big move to Copenhagen after being named in the Denmark Super League’s Team of the Season.

After loan spells at AFC Wimbledon and AS Nancy-Lorraine, it would seem that Trott is beginning to discover his best form.
