Report: Champions League club are really interested in signing £15m David Moyes signing from West Ham

A Champions League club are really interested in signing a £15m David Moyes signing from West Ham United, according to a recent report.

Julen Lopetegui has taken the reigns at the London Stadium following David Moyes’ departure, ending a four-and-a-half-year spell at the club.

The former Wolves boss has wasted no time in getting down to business, adding Luis Guilherme to his attacking ranks.

As he reshapes the squad to fit his style of play, it has just emerged that a £15m Moyes signing could be departing for Serie A.

AC Milan interested in Emerson Palmieri

According to Sky Sports, Serie A giants AC Milan are interested in signing West Ham United left-back Emerson Palmieri.

Milan are long-term admirers of the 29-year-old and like his profile, however, it’s unlikely he’ll join to replace Theo Hernandez as the first-choice left-back.

So unless a huge offer arrives for Hernandez, it seems he’ll be staying which could block the way for the Italy international.

West Ham should keep Emerson Palmieri

Emerson was West Ham’s first-choice left-back last term, making 47 appearances in total, so Lopetegui should attempt to keep him.

If they were to move him on, they’d likely have to spend a sizable fee to replace him with someone of a similar calibre.

So by retaining his services for at least another year, they can reinvest funds into priority areas, such as up front.

Having pulled out of the race for Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri, the hunt for a prolific number nine goes on, which will likely require much of the budget.

It makes sense to keep Emerson at the London Stadium.
