West Ham are interested in signing a ‘promising’ £25m striker who has made 32 Premier League appearances, according to a journalist.

The Hammers have made a fast start to the summer transfer window, signing Brazilian winger Luis Guilherme.

Now, Julen Lopetegui is keen to add a striker to his ranks before the start of pre-season and the club have made contact with a ‘promising’ forward.

West Ham interested in Juventus striker Moise Kean

West Ham are one of a number of clubs who have asked Juventus for information about Moise Kean, according to Edoardo Mecca.

Kean departed Everton last summer on a permanent deal after making just 32 Premier League appearances following his switch in 2019.

The 24-year-old returned to Juve in a £25m deal but struggled to find any form in front of goal, failing to score in 20 appearances.

Now it has just emerged, that The Hammers are interested in bringing him back to the Premier League, though, they face competition from Atletico Madrid, Sevilla, Bologna, Lazio, Roma and Fiorentina.

West Ham should stay clear

The Hammers should stay clear of Kean and move for a more proven goalscorer in the Premier League or on the continent.

Evidently, the Juve man is out of form and if Lopetegui wants to hit the ground running, he should prioritise a move for Sevilla’s Youssef En-Nesyri.

The Morocco international netted 20 goals last term and seems ready to make the switch to England’s top-flight.

Further, Sevilla are reportedly willing to sell, so he’s available for a reasonable fee.
