Report: Premier League club ready bid to sign 'intelligent' West Ham player

A Premier League club is readying a bid to sign an ‘intelligent’ West Ham United player, according to a recent report.

The Hammers are undergoing a complete squad refresh led by new manager Julen Lopetegui, who has already added Luis Guilherme to his ranks.

Emerson is being linked with a move away from the London Stadium and now another David Moyes signing is being mooted with an exit.

Southampton ready £6m bid for West Ham striker Danny Ings

According to the Daily Mail, Southampton have made contact with West Ham United over signing Danny Ings, who has been labelled an ‘intelligent’ striker.

The Saints look set to lose Che Adams and are looking at potentially bringing Ings back to St Mary’s ahead of their Premier League return to replace him.

The report further claims that they’re willing to offer up to £6m to sign the 31-year-old, who scored just once last term.

Ings was out of favour under Moyes and Lopetegui has been in the market for a new number nine, so it seems the club would be willing to sanction his sale if a reasonable offer arrives.

Danny Ings undecided on his future

Ings wants to assess all his options before deciding on his next move this summer.

The former Liverpool striker still has a year left on his deal, so perhaps he’d rather wait to leave as a free agent.

That way, more suitors will likely come in for him and it’d give him a chance to try and impress the new Hammers boss.
