Kentucky football is casting a wide net at wide receiver. With two pass-catchers already committed to the class of 2025 in four-star Quintin Simmons and three-star Ja’Kayden Ferguson, there are still several more prospects on the Wildcats’ Big Board.

And oen of them will be in Lexington this week.

Preston Bowman, a 6-foot, 195-pound wide receiver out of Pickerington (OH) North, will take an official visit to Kentucky from June 19-21. Bowman was re-offered by the Wildcats, courtesy of new wide receivers coach Daikiel Shorts, after an impressive camp performance on June 12. A week later, he’ll make a return trip to campus for an all-expenses-paid visit.

Bowman is currently unranked by the On3 Industry Ranking, but that could change in the next update. He was also offered by Michigan last month and is in talks with the Wolverines about scheduling an official visit to Ann Arbor. Louisville also offered him earlier this year.

It was this time two years ago that Bowman first popped up on Kentucky’s radar. He camped at UK for the first time and earned an offer from associate head coach Vince Marrow — Bowman’s first from a Divison I school. He visited unofficially in the fall of 2022, returned for a second camp in June 2023, and then made another stop in Lexington that October.

But once offensive coordinator Liam Coen and wide receivers coach Scott Woodward were replaced by Bush Hamdan and Shorts, respectively, in the offseason, the new staffers wanted to get another look. After participating in his third Kentucky camp in as many summers, Bowman was a clear standout and he’s since become a priority for the ‘Cats.

Marrow and Shorts are now the main recruiters for the talented wide-out from Ohio.

Along with Kentucky, Michigan, and Louisville, the likes of Eastern Kentucky, Tulsa, Liberty, Ohio, Toledo, Miami (OH), Marshall, Gardner-Webb, Bowling Green, UAB, and UMass have also extended scholarships.
