"Completed": Fabrizio Romano now shares when Crystal Palace plan to announce Daichi Kamada signing

Fabrizio Romano has now shared when Crystal Palace plan to announce the signing of Daichi Kamada.

The Japan international – who worked under Oliver Glasner at Eintracht Frankfurt – started his medical just over a week ago after Dougie Freedman managed to hijack contract negotiations with Lazio.

Now – with that medical complete – Fabrizio Romano has revealed when Crystal Palace plan to announce Daichi Kamada

When Crystal Palace plan to announce Daichi Kamada

The reliable Italian journalist believes Crystal Palace will officially announce the 27-year-old at the start of July.

Romano wrote on X: “🚨🔵🔴 Understand Daichi Kamada has signed his contract as new Crystal Palace player, two year deal. Medical also completed, here we go confirmed for free agent signing. 🇯🇵 The announcement from #CPFC is currently planned for the beginning of July.”

Steve Parish is believed to have offered the man from Ehime a contract worth £4m-a-year after sensing an opportunity to hijack talks over an extension with Lazio.

Kamada scored 25 goals in 93 appearances under Glasner in Germany – while also providing 12 assists – as the pair won the UEFA Europa League in 2022.

Who Dougie Freedman could turn to next after signing Japan international

When Kamada’s arrival on a free transfer is officially announced, there are two players we think Freedman could then focus his attentions on.

One of those is Ben Johnson, who the Daily Record claimed had decided to join Crystal Palace on a free transfer after his contract with West Ham expired – however, the Hammers are making late attempts to keep the defender.

Another is Sunderland No.7 Jobe Bellingham – brother of England star Jude Bellingham – who the aforementioned Romano claimed is currently the subject of talks between Crystal Palace and the Black Cats.

Be sure to keep an eye on transfer developments at Selhurst Park, as we expect more signings to be made after Kamada arrives.
