Copa America 2024 is set to bring plenty of drama with some of the biggest footballing nations taking part in the tournament, so here’s everything you need to know about it.
The curtain is ready to rise on yet another international tournament this summer as the Copa America is up for grabs again.
Back in 2021, the trophy was lifted by Argentina as they defeated Brazil 1-0 in Rio, thanks to a goal from Angel Di Maria.
This year’s format has a slight shake-up though as 16 teams will be competing as a mixture of CONMEBOL and CONCACAF nations duel it out for the trophy.
Four groups of four teams have been drawn with the top two from each progressing to the knockout rounds of the competition.
From there, teams will compete in the quarter-finals, semi-finals and the final until a winner is decided and crowned.
With the USA hosting Copa America 2024, before they also welcome the rest of the world to the World Cup in 2026, it’s set to be an exciting summer of action.
So with that said, here’s a look at all the details you need to know about watching the Copa America from the UK.
