Report: When Wolves' £8.45m signing Pedro Lima will actually arrive at Molineux, medical date scheduled

Wolves hijacked Chelsea’s swoop for Brazilian starlet Pedro Lima earlier this week but when can fans expect to see the teenager at Molineux?

It’s been a rapid start to the summer transfer for Wolves, who have completed three signings to complement Gary O’Neil’s side in 2024/25.

Business started when Tommy Doyle made his move from Manchester City to Molineux permanent, with Rodrigo Gomes joining the Englishman shortly after.

Earlier this week, it was announced that Wolves had beaten Chelsea to the capture of Brazilian wonderkid Pedro Lima, who will sign a contract when he turns 18 on 1st July.

When Pedro Lima will travel to England to sign for Wolves

For now, Lima remains in his homeland to continue training before flying to England to explore his new home.

Brazilian outlet NE45 provided an insight into when Wolves fans can expect to see the 17-year-old arrive in Wolverhampton, with his plans now made clear.

The report details that Lima will ‘travel to Europe on June 29th’ where he will then undergo a medical before signing his contract.

It’s added that until then, the teenager will continue to ‘carry out a daily training session’ to remain at full fitness ahead of his transfer.

The right-back, who is expected to cost Wolves £8.45m, is eager to play in the Premier League, an element that swayed his direction from Chelsea via Strasbourg to Molineux.

Lima is in safe hands with Gary O’Neil

For some, the Brazilian was expected to be considered as a talent for the future however, O’Neil seems to think otherwise ahead of 2024/25.

Express and Star believe that the Wolves boss will integrate the teen into the first team as soon as next season, with his talent and potential clearly something too vast for the manager to ignore.

Deployed primarily at right-back, Lima has more to offer than just applying defensive stability on the right side.

Analyst Ben Mattinson gave an insight on X as to what Wolves fans can expect from the starlet, whom he described as a ‘super exciting player to watch’ during his time at Sport Recife.

As is expected from a talent made in Brazil, Lima has a ‘technical brilliance’ to his game, being lauded as a player who ‘loves’ to be in possession, hinting at what he could offer to O’Neil’s side for years to come.

The Wolves boss’ decision to play a back five last season could see a player with Lima’s profile thrive, being a fullback who enjoys getting forward as well as being a presence at the back.

Wolves fans will have just over a week to wait to see Lima touchdown in Europe, in what is poised to be a sensational transfer for the Old Gold.
