Many Chelsea fans are saying the same thing after watching transfer target Milos Kerkez at Euro 2024

Bournemouth star Milos Kerkez is one of several players involved at Euro 2024 linked with a possible move to Chelsea this summer.

Milos Kerkez, whose aged just 20, is representing Hungary at the Euros tournament.

The young defender has started both of Hungary’s groups stage matches so far at Euro 2024, losing against Switzerland and Germany. It makes their clash against Scotland this weekend a must-win fixture.

Journalist Simon Phillips has reported via Substack this month that Chelsea have a ‘strong interest’ in signing Bournemouth’s Kerkez.

Meanwhile, GiveMeSport previously claimed that Bournemouth will fight to keep Kerkez at the club in this window and value him at £35m.

Chelsea supporters react to Milos Kerkez display at Euro 2024

Kerkez, who’s a left-back by trade, plays as a wing-back for his country.

He started on Wednesday during Hungary’s 2-0 loss against hosts Germany.

Many of the Chelsea fanbase tuned in and watched the summer target, with the general reaction very positive to his international performance at a major tournament.

Here are some supporters on X saying a similar thing when discussing Bournemouth’s attack-minded full-back:

One fan said: “Man I’d love Milos Kerkez at Chelsea.”

Another posted: “I like this Kerkez.”

One supporter claimed: “I really like Kerkez. Looks very sharp going forward.

Another wrote: “Kerkez looks pretty good going forward…”

Match statistics

FotMob data has provided the individual stats from Kerkez’s display in Hungary’s loss against Germany.

  • Match rating – 6.7
  • Minutes played – 75
  • Accurate passes – 20/23 (87%)
  • Chances created – 1
  • Clearances – 3
  • Recoveries – 2
  • Ground duels won – 3/3 (100%)
  • Aerial duels won – 2/2 (100%)

In a difficult game for his side, Kerkez showed glimpses of his quality in wide areas. It’s what he was doing all of last season in Bournemouth colours that has grabbed the attention of Chelsea.

The young defender definitely looks like a suitable target for the Blues, but the club don’t need him unless they sell either Ben Chilwell or Marc Cucurella.
