US to divert foreign AA ammunition deliveries to Ukraine

NASAMS

The change concerns mostly interceptor missiles for Patriot and NASAMS air defense systems, manufactured in the United States.

According to Kirby, Washington has made a “difficult but necessary decision to reprioritize the near-term planned deliveries of foreign military sales to other countries of particularly Patriot and NASAMS missiles to go to Ukraine instead.”

“...we're going to reprioritize the deliveries of these exports so that those missiles rolling off the production line will now be provided to Ukraine,” Washington Post journalist John Hudson quoted Kirby.

The official explicitly stated that other U.S. allies can expect the delivery of interceptor missiles they ordered “to be delayed.”
