'They connect': Inter Miami owner shares what Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez’s relationship is really like off the pitch

Jorge Mas has peeled back the cover on how Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez really are together away from the field at Inter Miami.

The former FC Barcelona duo are regarded as two of the best attacking pairs in the history of soccer, with Messi and Suarez winning everything together with the La Liga giants, alongside Inter Miami-linked winger Neymar.

Now in MLS together, Messi and Suarez have continued their incredible goalscoring form, with the Argentine international setting numerous MLS records, as his Uruguayan teammate has settled in at Inter Miami with ease.

Mess and Suarez ‘in very good spirits’ away from Inter Miami duty

Speaking to El Pais, Mas revealed how Messi and Suarez are also in ‘very good spirits’ away from the pitch, with the Inter Miami owner highlighting how good friends the two attackers were.

Messi and Suarez’s friendship has been key to their immense partnership on the pitch, with the duo a key reason why Inter Miami have been as good as they have been this season under Tata Martino.

And the decision to reunite the two this January is proving to be a masterstroke, with Messi and Suarez rolling back the years in glorious fashion together at Inter Miami.

Mas said on Messi and Suarez’s friendship: “They are friends, they connect, they generate a telepathy that they have on the field, but beyond that, they are friends, the families share and I think they are both in very good spirits and in very good shape here.”

Inter Miami duo will want to end the year with silverware

Messi and Suarez have been electric together this year at Inter Miami, with former Barcelona teammates Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba only adding to the duo’s incredible performances in the attack.

And Messi and Suarez would want nothing more than to end the year by lifting MLS Cup, an outcome that looks likely the more Inter Miami manage to win without the pair in the squad.

Indeed, this year could be the one for Inter Miami, and fans will love to see nothing more than Messi and Suarez guiding the Herons to success in their first year together in MLS.
