Zelenskyy also appointed Ivan Dovhanych as Ambassador to Iraq. Previously, he served as the temporary chargé d'affaires of Ukraine in Iraq and as an ambassador to Vietnam and Cambodia. Dovhanych is the author of a series of books on Ukrainian history.

The post in Prague had been vacant since July 2022, when former Ambassador Yevhen Perebyinis was appointed Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine.

Zvarych became Ukraine's Ambassador to Poland in February 2022, succeeding Andrii Deshchytsia.

Zvarych has held various positions in the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, including Deputy Director of the Information Policy Department. He also served as Minister-Counselor at the Ukrainian Embassy in Poland and Counselor at the Ukrainian Embassy in the United States.
