Tottenham would love a new forward this summer but one potential target appears on course to join Manchester United or AC Milan.
It’s no secret that Tottenham have never quite spent the money they got for Harry Kane on an even remotely suitable replacement.
However, this summer could see that replacement signed as Ange Postecoglou calls for improvements across the whole club.
Of course, there are some good forwards out there doing the business who Tottenham are known admirers of.
But according to Alasdair Gold, there’s one potential signing who looks less likely right now.

Speaking about potential signings in a Q&A for Football.London, Gold was asked about interest in Bologna start, Joshua Zirkzee.
However, Gold believes that while he’s a player Spurs have watched, he’s more likely to end up in Milan or Manchester right now.
“There doesn’t seem to be anything in the Federico Chiesa reports from Italy when it comes to Spurs from what I’m told, certainly at this point.
“Joshua Zirkzee is a player Tottenham have scouted, although the noise in Serie A seems to suggest that Milan are leading the pack for the Bologna striker, with Manchester United also interested,” Gold said.
Zirkzee is a man in-demand
The name of Joshua Zirkzee has come up more than once this summer and in relation to a number of clubs.
With Tottenham, the links have been a touch looser as it’s the likes of Arsenal and, as Gold says, Manchester United and Milan who seem most keen.
Clearly, the young Dutchman is a player who has high qualities and he seems almost certain to get a move away from Bologna this summer.
As for Tottenham, it might be they need to move now or miss out. Reports this weekend have suggested Man United are close, further backing up Gold’s suggestion here.
