'I've been told': Arsenal hierarchy really like 'world class' PL player as structure of deal revealed - journalist

Arsenal chiefs are really keen on a Premier League star who is available for £60m this summer transfer window, according to a journalist.

The North Londoners came up two points short of the Premier League title last term and will be desperate to finally pip Manchester City.

Mikel Arteta and sporting director Edu will be keeping tabs on a number of players during Euro 2024 and it’s thought they’re keeping a close eye on one man in particular, who they really rate.

Arsenal hierarchy really like Eberechi Eze

Arsenal have been mooted with a move for Crystal Palace playmaker Eberechi Eze in recent weeks and now Team news and ticks have provided the latest.

Speaking on his Patreon, he said: “I’ve been told by two unconnected people Arsenal are looking at Eberechi Eze. I know loads of people at the club like him. Eze has a very affordable release clause, around £60m, but a large amount of the clause has to be paid upfront.”

It seems like a very feasible deal to do, however, with the ‘world class’ Premier League star currently away at the European Championships with England, any forthcoming deal would likely take place after the tournament.

Eberechi Eze may want a return to Arsenal

There have been some suggestions that Tottenham Hotspur are also looking at Eze, however, a move to Arsenal might be more appealing for him.

That’s because he used to be at the Hale End Academy as a youngster, so he’s already familiar with the club and area.

A report from OneFootball emerged prior to his move to Palace claiming that he was dreaming of a move to Arsenal, so clearly if they were to come in for him, it seems he’d be eager to switch Selhurst Park for the Emirates Stadium.

Liverpool have also been credited with an interest.
