Samuel Iling-Junior’s transfer to Aston Villa is nearing completion as Fabrizio Romano relayed some fresh information on the deal.

Unai Emery is preparing to welcome Juventus starlet Samuel Iling-Junior to Villa Park, as the winger is close to completing his move to Aston Villa.

As a result of Villa’s PSR concerns, Monchi struck a deal with Juve to capture Iling-Junior as part of a swap deal for Douglas Luiz, with Enzo Barrenechea also set to arrive in B6.

Samuel Iling-Junior’s Aston Villa contract length is made clear in new update

The winger, who made the move from Chelsea’s academy to Juventus in 2020, is poised to make Villa Park his new home as he aims to make his mark on the Premier League.

Iling-Junior never featured for Chelsea’s senior side during his time in West London, with a return to England now presenting the 20-year-old with an opportunity to show his worth.

The forward was spotted in the country participating in a training session ahead of his proposed move to Villa, with the date of his medical now hinted at.

Fabrizio Romano provided a fresh update on the transfer on Monday morning, relaying that Iling-Junior will undergo a medical on Tuesday 25th June.

Romano added that Barrenechea will follow the Englishman in having a medical in the coming week and also shed some light on the length of the contract Iling-Junior will sign.

The renowned journalist revealed that the Juventus winger will sign a deal that will run until 2029 at Villa Park.

Iling-Junior signing will offer Unai Emery something different

Though Leon Bailey stands out as Villa’s most prolific wide player, Iling-Junior can finally provide Emery with such threat on the left side of the pitch.

The Juventus starlet secured 24 Serie A apperances last season for Juve, where he netted one goal and recorded two assists as he broke away from the comforts of the academy.

At just 20 years old, there is an encouraging talent there for Emery to unearth at Villa, with the winger having the potential to become a hit at Villa Park.

Most importantly, the capture of Iling-Junior will hand the boss added depth in quality on the left side in a player who will be eager to impress on his return to his homeland.
