Report: Arsenal considering move for 'incredible' £43m Premier League player if he can prove his fitness

Arsenal are on the search for a new wide player and are now set to consider a bid for one of the Premier League’s most in-demand talents.

The Gunners want to add more firepower to the forward areas this summer and are being heavily linked with a move for Atletico Bilbao star, Nico Williams.

However, Williams is an expensive deal to do given his wages and release-clause.

Because of that, there are other players on the radar for the Gunners and that includes players both in Europe, South America, and over here in the Premier League.

Indeed, certain English-based players have been of interest to Arsenal for some time now.

And according to reports, the Gunners are now considering a move for one of them.

Arsenal to consider Pedro Neto bid if he can prove his fitness

According to FootballTransfers, Arsenal remain big admirers of Neto and Mikel Arteta in particular is a ‘massive fan’ of the winger.

With that, it’s claimed that Arsenal are going to carry out their own medical checks and look into if Neto has fully recovered from the injuries that have hampered him recently.

Wolves previously valued Neto at around the £80m mark but now FT claims that a deal could be done for as little as £43m.

That sort of money brings him right into scope for Arsenal as they carefully consider their options when it comes to wingers.

Lauded as an ‘incredible‘ talent by Micah Richards, Neto has also been looked at by the likes of Tottenham and Liverpool in the past as well.

The Portuguese star was a shining light for Wolves before two separate hamstring injuries ensured he only made 20 appearances last year.

However, he returned in the last game of the season v Liverpool and is also part of Portugal’s squad over at the Euros in Germany.
