Crystal Palace now want £25m forward compared to Kylian Mbappe as Michael Olise replacement - Fabrizio Romano

Crystal Palace are set for a busy summer window, with an impending exit for Michael Olise set to kickstart the action.

Selhurst Park could be a revolving door of transfer incomings and outgoings, starting with Olise’s transfer switch to Bayern Munich.

The winger has impressed ever since he joined Crystal Palace, with his ability to wreak havoc on defenders catching the eye of some big clubs.

With a change of style halfway through the previous Premier League season, some Palace fans caught a glimpse of how Olise could perform under Oliver Glasner.

The Crystal Palace boss got four goals and three assists out of the 22-year-old in a short amount of time, but that partnership is set to end.

With the Eagles now set to make £55m from Olise joining Bayern, it’s time to look at a replacement – with one name appearing as an option.

Crystal Palace want Antonio Nusa transfer as Michael Olise replacement

With Olise moving on, it’s time for Palace to look at a succession plan, something they are moving along with swiftly.

That’s because, according to Fabrizio Romano, a list of names has already been drafted with Club Brugge youngster Antonio Nusa one of those on their radar.

The 19-year-old has shown plenty of promise since breaking into the first-team at the Belgian club, with Chelsea tracking him last summer.

In an interview with Norwegian outlet TV2 about the offer from the Blues, he said: “That’s a lot of money. A lot of money.

“But I try not to think about it so much. I can’t focus on that, you know. I don’t think it’s good for me.

“We are talking about very big clubs and that’s where you dream of being in the future. I try not to think about money at all.

“There’s a lot of money in football, so that’s not what’s on my mind. It’s where I can develop best and become as good as possible.”

The following campaign hasn’t been quite as kind to the Norway international, who missed 16 games through four separate injuries.

It is clear, however, that there’s plenty of promise for a star who is capable of playing at the very top level.

Antonio Nusa compared to Kylian Mbappe

There are plenty of comparisons made between football players coming through and those who have made it, but few can come as a bigger compliment than being compared to Kylian Mbappe.

That is exactly how Nusa was described in 2022 when Jacek Kulig of Football Talent Scout claimed the forward was similar in playing style to the French star and rated his potential as a 9.5 out of ten.

Brugge have previously been reported as holding out for a £25million for the youngster – according to the Guardian – which may prove to be a bargain in the current market.

Dougie Freedman has shown a clear ability to pick up the next young gem and polish them into superstars.

Many will be hoping that after Olise makes way, the sporting director can pick out the right player to replace him.
