NASCAR drivers won’t forget about the 2024 Cup Series race at New Hampshire anytime soon. The race was delayed due to rain, leading to NASCAR allowing the drivers to race with wet tires. When it was over, Christopher Bell came out on top to win his third race of the season. But as well as Bell performed on Sunday, John Crane of NASCAR.com revealed the three drivers who are up and the three drivers who are down after the New Hampshire race.

Chase Briscoe is the first driver who is up as he finished second on Sunday. He was able to chip away during the final stage after finishing 27th and 22nd in Stage 1 and Stage 2, respectively. The second-place finish is Briscoe’s best of the year and second top-five finish of the season after earning a P5 at Darlington five weeks ago.

Chris Buescher is the second driver who’s up after earning a fifth-place finish. He started the race in 15th place and could not crack the top 10 after the first two stages. The weather conditions and two-tire stops helped Buescher earn his third top-five finish of the year.

The last driver who is up is John Hunter Nemechek who earned a P8 finish at New Hampshire. He began the race in 28th place and was in 32nd after the second stage. The race went into overtime, leading to him battling back and earning a top-10 finish.

New Hampshire didn’t treat these three NASCAR drivers well

The first driver listed to be down is Alex Bowman who was hit with a DNF on Sunday. After starting in fifth, Bowman suffered engine issues, forcing him to put his car in the garage on Lap 144. The No. 48 car did not return to the track, leading to Bowman earning a last-place finish.

Joey Logano is the second down driver listed as he finished in 32nd. He was holding steady in there first two stages as he was in second and third, respectively. But when he collided with Chase Elliott during the final stage, Logano fell back and had his worst finish since earning a P34 at Kansas.

Brad Keselowski is the final driver down after finishing 28th on Sunday. After winning at Darlington on May 12, the 40-year-old was on a roll, earning three top-10 finishes in the next four races. But Keselowski didn’t have enough speed to catch up with the front of the pack after starting the race in ninth place.
