Nottingham Forest star Brandon Aguilera reveals which Brazil player's shirt he got after Copa America clash last night

The Copa America is now in full swing alongside Euro 2024 and Forest have a couple of their players in action.

United States are the nation tasked with hosting the tournament and so far there have been some intriguing matches.

On the opening night, Matt Turner helped the USA claim a 2-0 win over Bolivia and the Stars and Stripes should come through their group.

Last night, there was perhaps a shock result as Forest academy gem Brandon Aguilera helped Costa Rica claim a 0-0 draw with Brazil.

Aguilera was interviewed when coming through the mixed zone last night and shared who had given him their shirt after the game.

Brandon Aguilera shows off Brazil shirt after 0-0 draw

The talented young Forest player has been given the number 10 shirt for Copa America and that highlights how highly rated he is.

Last night he started the game and afterwards, he was in the mood for some shirt-swapping.

Aguilera got the shirt of Real Madrid star Rodrygo after the game and he explained to TNT Sports Brazil afterwards that Neymar had signed it for him.

The 20-year-old will hope to play plenty of football during the tournament in the United States.

Costa Rica are in a group considered the group of death with Colombia and Paraguay also to come for Aguilera and Co.

Forest have a decision to make on Aguilera

During the second half of last season, Aguilera went on loan to Bristol Rovers – and he didn’t do badly in fairness to the forward.

He scored two goals during 12 appearances and that isn’t bad for his first taste of men’s football.

Now, Forest will have to decide what to do with Aguilera next season and it’s a case of stick or twist for the club.

Aguilera was used in the Premier League by Nuno Espirito Santo last January and that might suggest that he’s already caught his eye a little bit.

However, it would be a big call to keep him around the City Ground when in reality he’s only going to play second fiddle to Morgan Gibbs-White in the number 10 spot.

Another loan might be on the cards for Aguilera with that in mind.

If he does leave Trentside for a second time, Forest must ensure they send him to a club that will actually play him and utilise him in his natural position.
