Report: AC Milan have now scheduled meeting about signing £38m Chelsea player

AC Milan want to find out whether it will be possible to sign one Chelsea player this summer.

Chelsea and AC Milan have done a lot of business with each other recently.

Last summer, the Blues sold both Christian Pulisic and Ruben Loftus-Cheek to the Italian giants.

Before that, it was Olivier Giroud and Fikayo Tomori who made the switch from Stamford Bridge to San Siro.

It now looks like someone else could make the same move during this transfer window.

AC Milan interested in another Chelsea player

Milan could soon find out whether it will be possible to reunite one Chelsea player with a few of his former teammates.

They have scheduled a meeting with the entourage of Romelu Lukaku to see if a deal could happen this summer, according to gianlucadimarzio.com.

The same outlet claims that while Milan are interested in doing a loan deal, Chelsea want to sell the striker permanently, which could cause problems for the Serie A club.

As per GiveMeSport, Chelsea currently value Lukaku at £38m.

Romelu Lukaku to stay in Italy?

If Lukaku is to leave Chelsea this summer, then a move to Milan or another Italian club looks likely.

The 31-year-old has spent the last two seasons out on loan at AS Roma and Inter Milan respectively.

Before Lukaku joined Chelsea, he was already on Inter’s books, and it now looks like he could be joining their city rivals.

Napoli, where his former boss Antonio Conte now manages, are also thought to be interested in him.

The problem is, though, Chelsea understandably want to sell Lukaku permanently. He is the third-most expensive signing in the club’s history. They want to make some serious money back instead of loaning him out every year.

Italian clubs, however, do not have the kind of money their Premier League counterparts have, making a permanent deal for the likes of Milan and Napoli difficult to do.
