Tottenham Hotspur’s youth sides enjoyed a successful campaign last season, with a number of young stars catching the eye.

The Spurs youngsters went on to win the Premier League 2 title, defeating Sunderland 3-1 in the final at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium.

One of the players who impressed during the PL2 campaign was 20-year-old, Jude Soonsup-Bell. Scoring ten goals and providing seven assists, the forward’s fine form first attracted loan interest back in January with a number of League One clubs coming close to his signature.

The Mirror have stated there is once again interest from several EFL sides this summer, so we thought it would be worthwhile taking a look at some of the clubs the former Chelsea-man could potentially thrive at.

Plymouth’s recent appointment of Wayne Rooney as manager makes the Championship club an attractive proposition for any young attacker.

Despite Rooney’s recent failings at Birmingham City, the former Manchester United man has a proven track record of developing youth during his time at Derby County.

Plymouth aswell of course are no stranger when it comes to taking Spurs youngsters on loan, with both Alfie Devine and Ashley Phillips spending time on the south coast last season, suggesting a deal between the two clubs could be done.

Teesside Live reported earlier this summer that championship side Middlesborough held a strong interest in securing a loan move for fellow Spurs youngster Will Lankshear, suggesting the Teessiders are in the market for an exciting young forward.

Middlesbrough boss Michael Carrick has a strong CV when it comes to getting the best out of young attackers shown by the recent exploits of Morgan Rogers, who earned himself a move to Aston Villa on the back of his form for Middlesborough.

Could Soonsup-Bell potentially join Lankshear in a double loan move?

Birmingham City

Soonsup-Bell’s lack of first team football may suggest he may not be ready for the trials and tribulations of the Championship football just yet. This however could potentially path a way for a move to a League One club, with Birmingham City seeming like a viable destination.

Birmingham boss Chris Davies recently left his role as senior assistant coach at Tottenham to manage the Blues, meaning he will likely be familiar with Soonsup-Bell’s game.

Davies’ knowledge of the Spurs youth setup may suggest he may be interested in recruiting some of his former colleagues to help Birmingham’s promotion push.
