Since the beginning of the day, June 26, 36 combat engagements were registered on the frontline. Most of the fighting is taking place in the Pokrovsk sector, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"Since the beginning of this day, 36 combat engagements have already taken place. The Russian invaders carried out one missile and ten air strikes using 22 guided aerial bombs, launched 44 strikes with kamikaze drones, and fired almost 600 times at the positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements," Ukraine's General Staff writes.
Sectors
In the Kharkiv sector, 2 Russian attacks continue in the area of Vovchansk. The situation is under control.
In the Kupiansk sector, 2 firefights took place in the areas of Berestove and Stelmakhivka.
A Russian attack was repelled in the Lyman sector. Fighting is currently ongoing in the areas of Kopanky, Hrekivka, Makiivka, and Torske. The total number of combat engagements so far is 6.
Russia's activity is moderate in the Siversk sector. Russians tried to push Ukrainian troops from their positions near Bilohorivka, Spirne, and Rozdolivka five times. 2 Russian attacks were repelled, and the fighting continues.
In the Kramatorsk sector, Russia keeps trying to advance towards Chasiv Yar. Currently, there is a battle near the settlement. In particular, a Russian attack on Klishchiivka was repelled.
In the Horlivka sector, a Russian attack near Pivnichne was repelled.
In the Pokrovsk sector, 13 firefights took place. Russia is pressing near Novooleksandrivka, Vozdvyzhenka, Prohres, Yevhenivka, Sokil, and Novoselivka Persha. 6 Russian attacks were repelled, and fighting continued.
In the Kurakhove sector, a Russian attack near Paraskoviivka was repelled. Fighting continues in the area of Nevelske.
