Exclusive: Arsenal and Tottenham made aware they can sign 'incredible' Euro 2024 talent for £50m this summer

Both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have now been informed of the £50m release clause of an attacker who is currently at Euro 2024.

Mikel Arteta and Ange Postecoglou are both thought to be in the market for a new creative forward this summer, someone who can change a game in an instant.

And given that options appear limited in the transfer market right now, we could see several Premier League sides competing for the same players.

For example, Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze is appreciated by both north London clubs, a player Spurs have made an enquiry for.

That being said, TBR Football understands that the representatives of Spain midfielder Dani Olmo have spoken to a number of Premier League clubs in recent weeks.

Olmo is currently at Euro 2024 with his country, and started alongside David Raya in Spain’s 1-0 win against Albania on Monday.

And TBR understands that Olmo has a clause in his contract, which expires in mid-July, allowing him to leave RB Leipzig for just over £50m this summer.

Arsenal and Tottenham have both been told about Dani Olmo’s release clause

Manchester City and Liverpool are two English clubs with long-standing interest in Olmo, and have been spoken to.

And TBR has also been told that Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham have been made aware of the 26-year-old’s situation – but as yet nothing has progressed.

It’s also understood that Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain retain an interest in Olmo, but Leipzig have made it clear that with Xavi Simons looking unlikely to return, they want the midfielder to stay.

Last season, Olmo played for Leipzig 27 times, scoring eight goals and providing six assists.

And for a long time it has seemed as if ‘incredible‘ Olmo might return to Barcelona, the club where he spent most of his youth career before heading to Dinamo Zagreb.

But with no move materialising over the last year or so, Premier League clubs should be alert to Olmo’s situation.

Whilst £50m may be considered a steep price, 35-cap Olmo presents an incredibly versatile profile in attacking areas, able to play centrally or on either wing.

And in that respect, the Spaniard could actually be Postecoglou’s perfect signing up top, perhaps even in addition to Eze if Spurs’ finances allow.

But either way, Olmo’s situation will be one to watch, especially when the European transfer window hots up in July.
