Report: Premier League club in talks about signing £30m Chelsea player this summer

Chelsea’s £30m-rated player is reportedly at the heart of transfer discussions between the Blues and a Premier League club.

Chelsea have done a great job in recent windows selling players to Premier League rivals. For example, they cashed in last summer when they sold Kai Havertz and Mason Mount to Arsenal and Manchester United, respectively.

Now, Chelsea’s Armando Broja is tipped with a potential exit in this summer window.

Journalist Ben Jacobs claimed via X in May that Broja is expected to leave Chelsea this summer amid interest from several clubs. Meanwhile, GiveMeSport reported that Everton have been in talks over a £30m deal for Blues striker Broja.

Everton talks for Chelsea player still ongoing

GiveMeSport now explains that Everton are still in ‘dialogue’ with Chelsea about the potential signing of Broja.

It is understood that a transfer may become realistic if the Premier League side can sell their forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the coming days.

The report adds that Chelsea’s 22-year-old attacker is on the radar of Wolverhampton Wanderers, Crystal Palace and AC Milan. Apparently, Milan could make Broja a priority target this summer if they fail to sign Bologna’s Joshua Zirkzee.

Armando Broja to Goodison Park a good fit

The Chelsea Chronicle would enjoy seeing Broja end up signing for Everton. Let’s see if Sean Dyche’s side can get this deal close to completion, though.

Broja has been with Albania this summer at the Euro 2024 tournament, where he played in two of the three group stage matches. However, his nation have been eliminated before the knockout rounds.

It’s obvious that the Chelsea centre-forward needs to go and play regular football, something he didn’t get when he joined Fulham in January on a short-term loan. He actually only played eight games and failed to score.

Hopefully, Broja can find a new home where he’s allowed to start consistently and rebuild a career that was halted a couple of years ago by a long-term knee injury. At Everton, he could be a really decent addition to their squad rights, providing pace and power in the final third.
