Newbury drink-driver Adrian Calcii was nearly three times limit

A MOTORIST was caught behind the wheel after drinking nearly three times the legal limit.

Adrian Calcii appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, May 15.

The 31-year-old, of Hennessy Crescent, Newbury, admitted driving a blue Ford Fiesta on Theale High Street after drinking more than the legal limit.

Tests showed 92mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath in his system.

The legal limit is 35mcg.

Mr Calcii was made subject to a 12-month community order with a requirement that he complete 80 hours of unpaid community work.

In addition, he was ordered to pay £85 costs, plus a statutory victim services surcharge of £114.

Finally, Mr Calcii was banned from driving for two years.
